How sales get credited to you

Kief credits a sale to you only when it's rung under your own point-of-sale login.

Kief reads completed sales from the point-of-sale system and matches each one to the employee who rang it.

How matching works

  1. You ring a sale under your own point-of-sale login, as usual — there's nothing extra to do in Kief itself.
  2. Kief reads that sale and, if a contest at your store is live and the sale matches its rule, records an earning for you.
  3. If a sale can't be matched to an employee, it's held in a queue for a manager to review and match it correctly.

Important: Ring every sale under your own login. Never ring, complete, or claim a sale another employee made, and never split, re-ring, or delay a sale to fit a contest. A sale that isn't real, isn't yours, or was structured to game a contest doesn't qualify and can be treated as theft.

Timing

Kief reads sales on a schedule, so there's usually a short delay between a sale and it showing up on your contest's qualifying-sales list. A sale that reaches Kief late (even after a contest or its segment has already wrapped up) is still recorded and paid if it was a genuine qualifying sale.

Budget caps

Some contests have a spending cap. Once a contest's cap is reached, sales made after that don't earn anything further under that contest — even if the contest is still showing as live. If the sponsor raises the cap later, it only reopens earning for sales made after the raise.
